The golf courses at Smith Mountain Lake can only be described as "world-class". There are two private courses and two public courses on the lake while there are many other courses within a one hour drive.

Mariners Landing - 540.297.7888 Originally designed by Robert Trent Jones this course offers nine holes along or over water.
The Westlake - 800.296.7277 Designed by Russell Breeden The Westlake offers some very challenging holes and wonderful mountain views.
Private
The Waterfront - 800.858.4653 The Waterfront was the first 18-hole PGA-championship golf course constructed around Smith Mountain Lake. Created in 1981 by golf architect George Fazio.
The Water's Edge Designed by Robert F. Loving, Jr. it is the areas premier course. Signature hole is the par-3 seventh with an island green surrounding by Smith Mountain Lake.
